Dr Ryan Grammenos (EngD, SFHEA) is a Co-Founder and Director at EduSynergy, a vocational education and training (VET) centre established to consolidate and deliver the combined know-how and training expertise of PHOEBE Research and Innovation Ltd and EUROCY Innovations Ltd. EduSynergy positions itself as a trusted provider of HRDA-accredited professional development programmes for individuals, SMEs, government bodies, and educational institutions across Cyprus and Europe.

Ryan's personal mission within EduSynergy is to make advanced technology accessible to a wide audience. Over the course of his career, he has developed the ability to translate highly technical subject matter, spanning artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), smart systems, and data analytics, into structured, engaging, and practically applicable training experiences for non-technical professionals. This bridge-building role between engineering depth and real-world learning is at the heart of what EduSynergy delivers. To date, Ryan has delivered over 1000 hours of teaching and training contact hours.

Ryan holds a first-class honours BEng in Electronic Engineering from Cardiff University (2007), an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Université Côte d'Azur in France (2008), and a Doctorate (EngD) in Communications Engineering from University College London (UCL, 2013), where he continues to serve as a Visiting Academic. He is a Fellow and Senior Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA, SFHEA), a distinction awarded in recognition of a sustained and impactful record of leadership in teaching and learning practice.

As an HRDA-certified VET trainer (EQF Level 5) and domain expert for Vital Importance seminars, Ryan has designed and delivered HRDA-accredited training programmes on: harnessing AI and IoT for sustainable environments and smart operations management; digital content generation with AI, navigating tools and copyright compliance in the era of Open Educational Resources; and AI and IoT as decision-support tools for professionals in finance, audit, and compliance. These programmes reflect EduSynergy's broader mission of equipping organisations with the practical knowledge and tools to thrive in a digitally evolving workplace.

Prior to co-founding EduSynergy, Ryan served as an Associate Professor (Teaching) at UCL, where he supervised more than 60 projects in IoT, communications, and data analytics, and led a cross-faculty academic support programme championing blended learning and digital skills. He also managed a £300,000 EPSRC-funded knowledge exchange hub, facilitating industry-academia collaboration with notable organisations such as IBM UK, Arup, ARM, Balfour Beatty, and Inria-Paris. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has delivered professional development seminars to leading organisations across the United Kingdom, France, and beyond.

Ryan is bilingual in Greek and English and proficient in French. He is a passionate advocate of lifelong learning and continuous professional development, values that are embedded in everything EduSynergy designs and delivers.

Marianna Gregoriou is an Accessibility and Assistive Technology Consultant and Trainer at EduSynergy, the certified vocational education and training (VET) centre established as the combined training arm of EUROCY Innovations and PHOEBE Research and Innovation. As an HRDA-certified trainer at EQF Level 5, Marianna delivers professional development programmes that equip non-technical professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to integrate assistive technology and inclusive practices into their workplaces.

Marianna holds an MA in Inclusive Education and Technology from King's College London and a BSc in Information Systems from European University Cyprus. This combination of pedagogical expertise and technical literacy enables her to bridge the gap between advanced digital tools and the professionals who need them most. She also holds a specialist diploma in Autism: Symptoms and Intervention from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and is a Senior Irlen Screener certified by the Irlen Institute International.

With over two decades of experience in training delivery, Marianna has designed and facilitated both HRDA-accredited and informal training programmes for diverse audiences, including SME professionals, educators, therapists, parents, and university students. Her training topics span assistive technology assessment and implementation, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), inclusive workplace practices, accessibility law compliance, EU Project accessibility compliance, and digital skills for people with disabilities. She has delivered training across Cyprus, Greece, and Oman, adapting her approach to suit different cultural and professional contexts.

Before joining EduSynergy, Marianna served as Director of SE.S Special Educational Services in Nicosia, where she managed the centre and led assistive technology training and consultancy for nearly a decade. She subsequently played a founding role in establishing the first Assistive Technology Centre in Muscat, Oman advising on everything from infrastructure and staffing to service design and professional training frameworks before serving as the centre's Assistive Technology Specialist and Irlen Screener for two years.

Marianna's training expertise is grounded in active research and project work. She initiated and authored the Erasmus+ PATH2Succeed project (2025–2027), focused on personalised study skills and accessible higher education. Her broader project portfolio includes MyHUB, TETRA-S, DEMOER, ViPi, Play2Do, and Games4Seniors. Through the CYTA-funded ABLE4ALL project, Marianna is authoring three practical guidebooks addressing EU accessibility compliance for businesses, employment pathways for people with disabilities, and professional standards for personal companions. She also delivers certified training to three distinct audiences through the project: business professionals navigating workplace accessibility, jobseekers with disabilities preparing for employment, and companions supporting people with disabilities in professional and social settings.

What distinguishes Marianna's approach is a simple principle: her aim is not just to deliver training but to create impact that lasts. For every programme she delivers, she designs practical, ready-to-use tools that professionals can embed directly into their daily workflows, from document accessibility resources to structured guidance for inclusive practice, all provided at no additional cost. Participants leave not only with new knowledge but with tangible resources they can apply immediately and independently. At EduSynergy, Marianna is dedicated to empowering individuals and professionals by advancing accessibility and inclusion across Cyprus, the EU, and beyond.

Dr George Milis, PhD, is Director and Innovation Manager at PHOEBE Research and Innovation Ltd and EUROCY Innovations Ltd, the organisations that established EduSynergy as their combined vocational education and training centre. With more than twenty years of experience spanning artificial intelligence, intelligent control systems, software engineering, digital transformation, Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, smart water management, smart buildings, and European-funded innovation projects, George leads strategic innovation, research project development, technology commercialisation, and international collaborations that directly inform EduSynergy's training offer.

He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Cyprus, specialising in semantically enhanced intelligent feedback control systems, an MSc in Advanced Computing (Artificial Intelligence) with Distinction from Imperial College London, and a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Before joining PHOEBE and EUROCY, Dr Milis worked as a Special Researcher at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus, and as Project Manager and Senior ICT Consultant at European Dynamics S.A. (Greece), contributing to major European research and commercial ICT initiatives.

His expertise covers artificial intelligence, machine learning, semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, data analytics, natural language processing, decision-support systems, digital learning technologies, and intelligent monitoring and control of large-scale infrastructures. He has coordinated and contributed to numerous Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, FP5/FP6, Erasmus+, Marie Curie, and nationally funded projects across sectors including water management, energy, smart cities, education, healthcare, public administration, and industrial innovation.

Dr Milis has authored many peer-reviewed scientific publications in areas such as IoT-enabled intelligent control systems, smart water networks, cyber-physical systems, semantic technologies, and artificial intelligence. He is an active member of IEEE, ETEK, TEE, and several innovation-focused organisations. In addition to his research and innovation activities, he is a frequent speaker at international conferences and professional events, having delivered more than 60 presentations, workshops, and invited talks.

His recent work focuses on applying practical AI, knowledge graphs, and advanced analytics to support water utilities, smart infrastructure operators, and organisations seeking digital transformation solutions. Dr Milis also serves as a Board Member of the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE), contributing to initiatives that strengthen the research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Cyprus and across Europe. At EduSynergy, he helps ensure that the centre's professional development programmes remain grounded in credible, applied research and innovation that organisations can put to work immediately.

Angelos Nicolaou is a key member of the EduSynergy team, serving as the centre's economics, financial, and administrative manager, whilst also contributing to the design and development of training curricula and learning materials. EduSynergy is a newly established vocational education and training (VET) centre pursuing HRDA certifications in Cyprus, with a mission to make advanced technologies, particularly AI, IoT, and digital tools, accessible to non-technical professionals through structured, certified professional development programmes. Angelos brings the financial discipline and analytical rigour needed to establish the centre on a sustainable footing from the outset.

His academic formation spans three complementary fields. He holds a BSc in International, European and Economic Studies from the University of Cyprus (2016), an MSc in Economics and Business with a specialisation in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2017), and an MSc in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics from CIIM – Cyprus International Institute of Management (2022). He also holds a Certified Digital Marketing Professional qualification from the Digital Marketing Institute (2021). Together, these credentials reflect a rare combination of macroeconomic perspective, financial analysis, and applied data science, directly relevant to developing training programmes that help Cypriot organisations make sense of the data-driven economy.

Angelos accumulated almost a decade of experience across PHOEBE Research and Innovation and EUROCY Innovations, the two organisations from which EduSynergy emerged. At PHOEBE, he directed business development and led participation in Horizon Europe projects, all of which involved IoT, environmental monitoring, smart infrastructure, or renewable energy themes that now inform EduSynergy's technical training content. At EUROCY, he contributed to a wide portfolio of Erasmus+ projects, with responsibilities spanning project management, curriculum development, LMS administration, and dissemination.

At EduSynergy, Angelos combines this accumulated experience to ensure the centre operates efficiently, compliantly, and with a clear commercial direction. He supports the development of training materials that draw on the research outputs of the alliance's EU-funded projects, ensuring that EduSynergy's offer is grounded in real applied work, rather than generic content. His involvement in digital marketing strategy also means that EduSynergy's professional development Cyprus programmes reach the right audiences, SME owners, HR professionals, and public sector employees who stand to benefit most from structured AI training Cyprus, digital skills training Cyprus, and technology-focused professional development.

As EduSynergy progresses towards HRDA Cyprus certification, Angelos plays a central role in ensuring the financial and administrative requirements of the certification process are met, and that the centre is positioned to deliver HRDA certified trainer Cyprus-standard programmes from its first operational year.

Christos Georgiou is a member of the EduSynergy team, supporting the design, development, and consulting of training materials for the centre's growing portfolio of vocational education and professional development programmes. EduSynergy is a newly established VET centre pursuing ΑνΑΔ–ΚΕΚ Cyprus certification, with a mission to make AI, IoT, and digital tools accessible to non-technical professionals through structured, certified training. Christos contributes to this mission by drawing on over four years of EU-funded curriculum development and a diverse prior career that spans economics, financial services, entrepreneurship, and education.

Academically, Christos holds an MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Warwick WMG (2017, 2:1), one of the UK's leading centres for technology and management research, and a BSc in Economic Science from the University of Cyprus (2016), which included a six-month Erasmus exchange at the Università di Bologna. His MSc thesis examined virtual reality teams and the conditions under which distributed collaboration succeeds, a theme directly relevant to EduSynergy's work in digital skills training Cyprus and blended learning design. His BSc research applied regression-based econometric methods to World Bank data, an early demonstration of the analytical approach he brings to everything he does.

Before joining the alliance, Christos built an unusually varied professional portfolio. He worked in accounting and financial reporting at CNP Insurance, monitored trading risk and CySEC regulatory compliance as a Dealer Analyst at Safecap Investments, and supported client forecasting and business analysis at TeamVision Investment Consulting. He also spent five years leading business development for a startup technology company, taking it from initial concept through to a released mobile and web application, and successfully securing Youth Entrepreneurship government funding along the way. Running in parallel with all of this, he spent seven years teaching Economics to secondary school students and tutoring university students in macroeconomics and microeconomics, experience that has directly shaped how he approaches curriculum design and the communication of complex ideas to non-specialist audiences.

At PHOEBE and EUROCY, Christos developed proposals for Horizon Europe, ERC, Erasmus+, and CY RIF funding calls; conducted research on AI, Big Data, and IoT; collaborated with technical teams to produce interactive training materials; and administered Learning Management Systems. These experiences feed directly into his EduSynergy role, where professional development Cyprus programmes must be grounded in real applied research, clearly structured for non-technical learners, and delivered through platforms that work reliably at scale.

Christos's combination of innovation management training, economics expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and teaching practice makes him well placed to support EduSynergy as it builds its HRDA certified trainer Cyprus-standard offer and establishes itself as a credible provider of AI training Cyprus, digital skills training Cyprus, and VET training Cyprus programmes for SMEs, professionals, and public sector organisations across the island.
